AUTHOR SUBMISSIONS
,Since March 2020 there has been a large volume of requests from authors for The Book Shop to stock their books and as we have very limited shelf space unfortunately we cannot stock them all.
If you would like us to consider your work, please email us to arrange an appointment/suitable time for you to come in. You will be asked to leave us a copy with a contact sheet that details the terms for purchase and SOR. We must ask that you do not drop off copies to the shop, even as a gift. Books left without following our procedure will be sent for recycling. Unfortunately not all books are suitable for our little independent book shop. More helpful advice about getting your book stocked can be found on The Booksellers Association website under ‘Industry Info‘. (click) or ask for our Author information leaflet in-store
Bookshop.org – You can order books via our online shop (powered by uk.bookshop.org ) but this is for home delivery only. Books are discounted and delivery is free with orders over £40. We earn a commission on every book sold, so purchasing from here is just like purchasing in the shop.
Ordering books – you can order any books with us – even the ones you have struggled to find, and we will do our best to find it. You can order any book by calling us on 07771 410074 (when we are busy we are unable to answer the phone as our card machine runs on the phone line) or the best way is to email us at info@leebookshop.co.uk or via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Tiktok.

Miles Book Shop, Gosport. In 2024 we will be celebrating 91 years trading as a book shop, in the same building as when it was first opened by Mr Leonard Miles. Yes… he was the gentleman that opened Miles Book Shop in Gosport High Street , later known as The Gosport Book Shop and I bet you didn’t know our Lee-on-the-Solent shop was the first shop he opened? This was closely followed by a second book shop in Stubbington, before opening the well known Gosport High Street one? Well, we are the last of his shops and we need your support.
